Erin Tschopp
M.Sc., RSLP
Erin Tschopp is the owner of North Shore Speech and Language. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of British Columbia in 2006 and spent 16 years at Burnaby Hospital working across medical, surgical, and rehabilitation units. As Clinical Practice Leader for 14 years, she built her leadership skills, advocated for her profession, and co-developed key regional initiatives, including the Fraser Health Swallowing Screening Tool and an endoscopic swallowing and voice evaluation program.
Erin has extensive experience supporting adults with stroke, head injury, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and voice disorders. She remains committed to ongoing learning, with advanced training in LSVT LOUD and cognitive-communication rehabilitation. As a mother to a son with autism, Erin has been motivated to expand her learning and skills into pediatric speech and language assessment and treatment. She is excited to be able to offer services in this area.
Grounded in a client- and family-centered philosophy, Erin provides collaborative, goal-oriented therapy guided by each client’s values and strengths. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, skiing, and exploring North Vancouver’s trails with her family and dog.
Rachel Woldmo
M.Cl.Sc., M.Sc.
Rachel is a Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, community, long-term care, and private practice. Her primary area of practice is supporting adults after acquired brain injury and stroke. She provides assessment and treatment for communication and swallowing changes, including aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, cognitive-communication disorders and dysphagia. Rachel also supports adults with other neurological conditions, offers therapy for voice disorders, and accent modification.
Her therapy is collaborative and participation-focused, helping clients communicate more clearly and take part more fully in everyday life. Rachel provides flexible, functional support that involves families and caregivers. She offers speech therapy for adults on the North Shore, with the option of in-home or virtual sessions.
Rachel holds a Master of Science in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Victoria and a Master of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Western Ontario.
Yasmine Bia
B.A., B.Sc.
Yasmine Bia is passionate about helping people improve their ability to communicate. She grew up in Saskatchewan and has a BA in Linguistics from the University of Saskatchewan and a BSc in Communication Disorders from Minot State University. She completed a practicum at the North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre where she works part-time as a Coordinator and has been working as a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certified by Speech Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) for quite some time. She has also spent many years working in the field of English as a Foreign Language. In her free time, she enjoys singing, travelling, swimming, and volunteering in several capacities.
